Uzma Bukhari’s Response to the Viral Deepfake Video

Speaking to the media outside the Lahore High Court, Uzma Bukhari condemned the indecent act, attributing it to workers and social media activists of PTI. She accused PTI of orchestrating a vicious and negative propaganda campaign against other political parties.

Bukhari also lamented that while women involved in acts of vandalism and terrorism on May 9 are being hailed as the daughters of the nation, character assassination of PML-N women, including Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, is being conducted with the aid of fake and edited videos.

She further criticized the support and praise received by those involved in such heinous acts, including the character assassination of respectable female politicians.

Legal Actions and Accusations

According to a private TV channel, Bukhari named PTI workers, including Falik Javid, in her petition at the LHC as being involved in spreading the fake video. The LHC has directed the petitioner to approach the FIA to place the accused’s names on the exit control list.
